A cable model by Amandeep using Blender’s geometry node is also available free of charge.
How to Install
Specify the GeoCables v2.1.0.zip downloaded from Edit>Preference>Addons>Install.
Usage
The GeoCables Panel is located in the ‘A-Tools’ section of the N-Panel.

Click on the ‘Create/Edit Cables’ button to start drawing mode.
Click on any face to place a point, then click again to add more points.

Holding down CTRL and clicking snaps the point to the center of the face.
Clicking while holding down ALT splits the cable.
- With the GeoCable object selected
- Click on ‘Add Shipped Connectors’,
- Add the five connectors included with the add-on to the cable.

The created cable can be positioned by editing its vertices in Edit Mode.

This is too convenient!
It’s created in the geometry node, so even if I add or remove vertices later
The cables follow and it’s great!
Converting from object to cable
Select any object and click the ‘Object to Cables’ button to convert all edges of the object into cables.

Thus, it is possible to create a cable model very quickly.
Please check it out if you are interested.
GeoCables is a free Blender Addon that allows you to generate procedural suspension cables using Geometry Nodes.
The core of the add-on is the geometry node, but the add-on makes it more useful by providing the ability to draw in object mode by simply clicking on a surface or to convert an object to a cable.
